The vineyard of Château Clerc Milon is planted on clay-limestone soils, typical of the Pauillac appellation. These mineral-rich soils give the grapes great aromatic complexity. Sustainable vineyard management optimizes vine health and fruit quality. climat The region's oceanic climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, promotes a slow and even ripening of the berries, ensuring an authentic expression of the terroir in every bottle.

Owner and history

Today, the Château Clerc Milon is owned by the Rothschild family, who have been able to restore to domaine its credentials. Under their leadership, the domaine has invested in modern cultivation and winemaking techniques, while preserving its historical heritage. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Clerc Milon It is a meticulous process, combining tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand to guarantee their quality. After rigorous sorting, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aging, lasting 16 to 18 months, occurs in oak barrels, a third of which are renewed each year. This method allows the tannins to soften and adds further complexity to the wine, while respecting the identity of the terroir.
