    Owner and history

    The Château Fonplégade vineyard is situated on a mosaic of soils. Across 18.5 hectares, the 27 plots are planted with Merlot (91%), Cabernet Franc (7%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%). Since 2013, the vineyard has been farmed organically. It is among the pioneers in this field and is gradually converting to biodynamic practices.

    Vinification and aging

    The principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture are strictly adhered to during vinification and aging. The latter takes place in new French oak barrels, one-year-old barrels, or oval-shaped concrete tanks.
