THE Château Lafleur 2021 stands out sharply from 2020. If 2020 was a vintage of power and sunshine, 2021 is often described by critics as a return to a A more classic, fresh and "Atlantic" style.
This is a winemaker's wine, the product of a year that demanded tireless work from the Guinaudeau family to tame capricious weather. The result is a model of precision and verticality.

The team's opinion
The 2021 is a wine for purists of Lafleur. While the 2020 is a "monument" of density, the 2021 is delicate and refined. It wonderfully expresses the nobility of Bouchet (the local name for Cabernet Franc), which here takes center stage in terms of aromatic character. This is a wine that will undoubtedly require some patience for its tannic structure to integrate, but it promises an evolution of rare complexity.
