The Château Lafleur vineyard stretches across clay-gravel soils, ideal for growing Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This unique terroir, combined with a temperate oceanic climate, allows the grapes to ripen slowly, developing rich and complex aromas. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care, using sustainable viticultural practices to preserve soil health and the surrounding biodiversity.

    Owner and history

The current owners of Château Lafleur, passionate about their craft, have preserved the family heritage while integrating modern practices to enhance the quality of their wines. Their devotion to the art of winemaking and their respect for the terroir are at the heart of their philosophy. They are committed to producing wines that reflect the unique identity of Pomerol, while highlighting the authenticity and typicity of each vintage.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lafleur is a meticulous process. The grapes, carefully selected by hand, are destemmed before being gently crushed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature regulation. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months to refine its aromas and structure. This artisanal approach contributes to the creation of wines of great finesse and beautiful aromatic complexity.
