    This Pomerol pairs perfectly with refined dishes such as beef fillet in a pastry crust, duck breast with figs, or a mature cheese like Comté. Serve between 16 and 18°C ​​after decanting for 1 to 2 hours to fully appreciate its complexity.

    Owner and history

    Located in the extreme southwest of the Pomerol appellation, the vineyard covers 22 hectares and consists of vines with an average age of 35 years. The soil is composed of heavy clay and topped with a gravelly layer.

    Vinification and aging

    The wine is aged for 15 months in barrels, 35% of which are new. Château l'Evangile uses barrels made by the Tonnellerie des Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in Pauillac.
