The Château Moulin Riche vineyard stretches across clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Saint-Julien appellation. These mineral-rich soils impart great complexity to the wines. The temperate oceanic climate, with hot summers and mild winters, promotes optimal grape ripening. The carefully cultivated vines benefit from ideal sun exposure, resulting in high-quality grapes. Respect for the terroir and biodiversity is central to the estate's philosophy, guaranteeing authentic wines that truly reflect their origin.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Moulin Riche is managed by a passionate family, perpetuating the family's winemaking heritage while integrating sustainable practices. This dedicated team works to maintain the exceptional quality of their wines, respecting tradition while innovating. Their artisanal approach and commitment to the terroir are evident in every bottle, demonstrating a desire to pass on their love of wine to future generations.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Moulin Riche is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modern technology. The grapes are harvested by hand and then carefully sorted to retain only the finest. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the freshness and aromas of the fruit. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months. This aging process imparts woody and spicy notes to the wine, while respecting the balance and finesse of the grape varieties. Each step is carried out with particular attention to reveal the full richness of the Bordeaux terroir.
