    Owner and history

    The Château Pavie-Macquin vineyard is surrounded by three Premier Grand Cru Classé estates: Château Troplong Mondot, Château Pavie, and Château Trotte Vieille. The terroir of rich clay over limestone allows the estate to produce a powerful, full-bodied, mineral wine with a refreshing character. The dominant grape variety is Merlot, with Cabernet Franc adding complexity to the château's wines. The remaining 2% Cabernet Sauvignon completes the blend.
