Owner and history

4th Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien (Médoc), the vineyard of Château Talbot extends over 110 hectares in a single block, within the remarkable appellation of Saint-Julien. Ideally situated on the edge of the Gironde estuary, on alluvial gravelly hillocks carried from the Massif Central by the Dordogne and from the Pyrenees by the Garonne, the terroir of Château Talbot is exceptional.

Vinification and aging

The 110 hectares of the vineyard of Château Talbot extend all around the house in the very heart of the appellation.

Planted on a terroir of fine Günzian gravel on a clay base, forming well-drained hillocks, there is a majority of red vines (105 hectares)
and a confidential area of white vines (5 hectares).
