THE Château Mouton Rothschild 2020 is the latest addition to the celebrated and exceptional Bordeaux "trilogy" (2018, 2019, 2020). It is a wine that combines the classic power of Pauillac with sculptural precision, also marking the first vintage entirely overseen by Jean-Emmanuel Danjoy (former director of Clerc Milon).
He received stratospheric grades, often bordering on perfection: 99-100/100 (James Suckling) 98/100 (Decanter) and 100/100 (Green Wine).

Tasting notes
Pauillac lamb with garrigue herbs. It's the perfect "mirror image" pairing. The delicate flesh of the milk-fed lamb complements the silky texture of the mutton. The thyme and rosemary notes of the dish will echo the aromatic complexity (cedar, spices) of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Pair it with roasted Bordeaux ceps to highlight the earthy and noble character of the wine.

The team's opinion
This is a wine built for eternity. It will begin to reveal itself around 2030 and can be kept serenely until 2065+. If you are lucky enough to taste it young, decanting for 3 to 4 hours is essential to allow this "silk colossus" to express itself.
