The vineyard of Château Saintayme extends across clay-limestone soils, typical of the Saint-Émilion appellation, which impart a distinct minerality to the wines. THE Château Les Cruzelles, located in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, belongs to the Durantou family. It is an iconic property on the right bank, closely linked to one of the most respected names in Bordeaux, that of the late Denis Durantou, also owner of the legendary Château The Church-Clinet in Pomerol. Through consistent investment in quality and innovation, they strive to make Château Saintayme is an essential reference in the Saint-Émilion appellation.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Saintayme is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature management. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are renewed annually, imparting delicate woody notes without masking the purity of the fruit. This meticulous attention to detail at every stage of winemaking results in wines of great finesse, balanced and ready to be enjoyed in their youth, while also possessing remarkable aging potential.
