Owner and history

Following the death of Anne-Claude Leflaive, an emblematic figure of biodynamic agriculture, Sylvain Potin took over the reins of the domaine Clau de Nell. He passionately perpetuates the philosophy of producing authentic and environmentally friendly wines. Sylvain Potin is committed to preserving Anne-Claude Leflaive's legacy and continuing to produce exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Anjou.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Clau de Nell is carried out with the utmost care, respecting tradition. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before being placed in vats for fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, thus promoting the expression of the terroir. Aging occurs in vats and oak barrels, allowing the wine to slowly refine and develop its complexity. Bottling is done without filtration or fining, in order to preserve the wine's integrity.
