This Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 2024 reveals itself with a brilliant golden hue. On the nose, aromas of white flowers and fresh fruit intertwine with typical mineral notes. On the palate, the vivacity of the Chardonnay is enhanced by a creamy texture, offering flavors of pear and candied lemon, with a long, mouthwatering finish that reveals the full richness of the terroir.

The vineyard of Domaine William Fèvre It extends over clay-limestone soils, perfect for growing Chardonnay. The vines, averaging 40 years old, benefit from a climat The continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, promotes optimal grape ripening. The geographical location, between the Serein river and the hillsides, offers ideal sun exposure while preserving the humidity necessary for the harmonious development of aromas.

The appellation covers 12.62 hectares at the westernmost edge of the Grands Crus terroir, at an altitude ranging from 130 to 170 meters, with a southwest exposure. The wines of this appellation consistently exhibit a very rich and smooth structure on the palate. The soil is quite deep, composed of marl and clay, deeper than in the "Côte Bouguerots". The plot covers 6.23 hectares, representing 49% of the total appellation, of which 4.12 ha are in Bougros.

Owner and history

2024 is a pivotal year for the Domaine William Fèvre, which has now come under the wing of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), while retaining the technical direction of Didier Séguier, the guarantor of the house's refined and pure style. The current owners share a common passion for the terroir and quality, committed to producing wines that reflect the authenticity of Chablis. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine William Fèvre The winemaking process is characterized by meticulous attention to detail at every stage. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed to preserve their integrity. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks to ensure a pure expression of the Chardonnay. Aging, lasting 12 to 18 months, takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart subtle complexity without masking the wine's character. This approach allows the minerality and freshness of the great Chablis wines to shine through.
