This Riesling displays a brilliant pale yellow color. On the nose, it exudes aromas of lime, grapefruit, white flowers, and flint. On the palate, the attack is lively and mineral, followed by a lovely roundness and refreshing acidity. The finish is long and persistent, marked by citrus notes and a subtle salinity. A wine of great elegance and beautiful complexity.

The Felton Road vineyards are planted on silty loess soils covering schist. climat Central Otago's continental climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and cold winters, promotes a slow and even ripening of the grapes. The biodynamic practices implemented by Felton Road help to enhance soil health and preserve biodiversity. The harvest is done by hand, with rigorous sorting of the grapes to retain only the healthiest and ripest berries.

Nigel Greening is the current owner of Felton Road. Passionate about biodynamics and respect for the environment, he perpetuates the vision of the founders of domaine. Their commitment to quality and authenticity is reflected in every bottle produced by Felton Road.

Vinification and aging

The Felton Road Bannockburn Riesling 2021 is made with minimal intervention. The grapes are gently pressed, and the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. Aging on fine lees for several months adds complexity and texture to the wine. Bottling is carried out without fining or filtration to preserve the wine's integrity and the expression of its terroir.
