      Notes and pairings

      Tasting notes

The 2022 Arbouse Rouge presents a deep garnet color with purplish highlights. Its expressive nose blends ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a hint of garrigue. On the palate, the attack is supple, the texture dense yet elegant, supported by remarkable freshness and fine tannins. The long and flavorful finish prolongs the notes of black cherry and black pepper with a refreshing mineral touch.

      Food & wine pairings

This wine pairs wonderfully with roast duck breast, grilled rib-eye steak, or herb-cured vegetables.

The Mas Bruguière vineyard stretches across approximately thirty hectares at the foot of the Pic Saint-Loup, on clay-limestone soils interspersed with scree of hard limestone. This terroir, bathed in sunlight but tempered by the altitude and the Cévennes influences, imparts a rare natural freshness to the wines, a quality uncommon in Languedoc. The Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre vines are cultivated organically, respecting the natural balance, with yields deliberately kept low to encourage concentration and the expression of the terroir.

      Owner and history

Mas Bruguière is the story of a family tradition spanning seven generations. Today, Xavier Bruguière embodies this expertise with passion and humility. Trained in viticulture and driven by a profound respect for all living things, he works daily to showcase the Pic Saint-Loup terroir with precise, elegant, and committed wines. His organic, plot-by-plot approach, combined with a perfect understanding of his soils, positions Mas Bruguière among the most inspiring wineries of contemporary Languedoc.

      Vinification and aging

At Mas Bruguière, vinification is carried out using indigenous yeasts, with meticulous work in concrete vats to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Maceration is long, adapted to each plot.
For L'Arbouse 2022, the wine is aged in demi-muids and foudres for 12 months, which allows the tannins to soften without masking the freshness. The result is a harmonious wine with a silky structure and a sincere aromatic expression of the Pic Saint-Loup terroir.
