The wine is a deep, intense red. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe black fruit, spices, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is powerful and velvety, with silky tannins and a beautiful acidity that balances the richness of the fruit. The long, lingering finish evokes hints of licorice and cocoa.

The Château de Beaucastel vineyard is situated on clay-limestone terraces, typical of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The varied soils, composed of rolled pebbles, sand, and clay, allow for good drainage and promote the concentration of aromas. The Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, contributes to the optimal ripening of the grapes. The estate practices environmentally friendly viticulture, promoting biodiversity and soil health.

    Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Perrin family, who embody the passion and heritage of winemaking. Each family member brings their personal touch to the management of the estate, while respecting the values passed down by their ancestors. Their commitment to the quality and authenticity of Beaucastel wines is reflected in every vintage, making this estate a pillar of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and a model to follow in the world of wine.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château de Beaucastel is carried out with great care. The grapes, harvested by hand, are meticulously sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats and oak barrels, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. The wine is then aged for 12 to 18 months in barrels, some of which are new, to develop its aromatic complexity. This painstaking process allows the full richness of the terroir to be expressed, resulting in a balanced and harmonious wine.
