Vinification and aging

The vinification of Quinta da Romaneira's 2015 Vintage Port is carried out with the utmost care. The grapes are foot-trodden in traditional lagares (small stone huts) to gently extract aromas and tannins. Fermentation is stopped by the addition of grape brandy, which helps retain some of the grapes' natural sugars. The wine is then aged in oak casks for an undisclosed period before being bottled and further maturing in the cellars.

The team's opinion

A Vintage Port of rare intensity, a true nectar that transcends time.
