    Owner and history

    The vineyard covers 82 hectares on deep gravelly soil. It is located within the Saint-Julien AOC. The second wine of Château Gruaud Larose benefits from the same techniques as its older sibling. The vineyard is planted on gravelly slopes of the Garonne River. This terroir, composed of humus, sand, clay, and rolled pebbles, provides ideal conditions for the vines. The vines are on average 40 years old and extend over 82 hectares in a single block. Particular attention is paid to biodiversity, agroforestry, and eco-grazing.
