Tasting notes
This Pinot Nero displays a bright, clear ruby color. On the nose, it exudes aromas of fresh red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, delicately enhanced with floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the attack is supple and elegant, with lovely freshness and silky tannins. The finish is persistent and fruity, leaving a pleasant sensation of lightness and balance.

The first vintage produced was 1990. This wine, made exclusively from Pinot Noir, is considered the counterpart to Cervaro: together, they embody the two expressions of the complex and refined spirit of Castello della Sala. Four hectares of Pinot Noir vines extend at an altitude of 400 meters on fossil-rich limestone soils composed of sedimentary sands dating back to the Pliocene.
The team's opinion
An Italian Pinot Nero that impresses with its freshness and elegance, a modern interpretation of a classic grape variety.
