    Owner and history

    The Domaine Claude Dugat vineyard stretches across the limestone and clay soils typical of Gevrey-Chambertin, lending finesse and character to the wines. The continental climate provides ideal conditions for the slow ripening of Pinot Noir, promoting the expression of the terroir and aromatic concentration. The vines, cultivated with care and respect for sustainable practices, produce grapes of exceptional quality, guaranteeing a unique signature for each vintage.

    Vinification and aging

    The winemaking process for Gevrey-Chambertin La Marie 2020 follows a rigorous approach, respecting both the fruit and the terroir. After meticulous hand-harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled tanks.     La cuvée « La Marie » est une création relativement récente et profondément intime. Baptisée en hommage à Marie Dugat (la mère de Claude), elle est issue d'une sélection très stricte de très vieilles vignes (certaines plantées dans les années 1930 à 1950) situées sur la parcelle emblématique « Les Seuvrées », au sud du village de Gevrey-Chambertin, à la frontière de Morey-Saint-Denis.
