THE Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Broc comes from a plot carefully selected by the Domaine David Duband. The terroir of Morey-Saint-Denis is renowned for the quality of its soils and its ideal exposure. THE climat "Les Broc" (often written Clos des Ormes (for the larger area, of which Les Broc is a very high-quality subsection) produces wines that bridge the gap between the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the elegance of Chambolle-Musigny.

Owner and history

Vinification and aging

The winemaking methods of Domaine David Duband The winemaking methods are traditional and respectful of the grapes. Maceration is carried out carefully to gently extract aromas and tannins. Aging takes place in oak barrels, allowing the wine to gain complexity and finesse.

The grapes are hand-harvested, sorted, and vinified with 70% whole clusters. During the 11-day maceration, between 5 and 7 punch-downs are performed, along with pump-overs. After pressing, the wines are settled for two weeks and then transferred to barrels. Aging takes place in 40% new oak barrels and 60% barrels that are one to five years old. After 13 months of aging, the wines are racked into tanks, rested for three months, and bottled without filtration or fining.
