    Owner and history

    The Geisberg Grand Cru is one of the most prestigious terroirs in Alsace. Nestled on steep slopes in Ribeauvillé, it rests on soil composed of marl, limestone, and sandstone, providing optimal drainage and imparting exceptional minerality to the wines. The vines, some several decades old, benefit from a southeast exposure, guaranteeing perfect grape ripeness. Sustainable farming practices, combined with meticulous work in the vineyard, result in berries of remarkable quality, giving rise to Rieslings with great longevity.

    Vinification and aging

    At Trimbach, winemaking is based on a philosophy of purity and precision. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, then gently pressed to preserve their freshness and aromatic vibrancy. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation, to maintain the wine's liveliness. Extended aging on fine lees gives the Geisberg Riesling an elegant structure and exceptional aging potential.
