Since 2018, the Conterno family, an emblematic figure of Barolo, has taken over the reins of the domaine Nervi, renamed Nervi Conterno. This acquisition marks a new chapter for the domaine, With the ambition to perpetuate excellence and showcase the exceptional potential of Gattinara wines, the Conterno family brings its expertise and experience to elevate Nervi Conterno wines to the pinnacle of Italian winemaking. Their commitment to quality and respect for the terroir results in authentic and expressive wines that reflect the passion and heritage of this great estate.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Nervi Conterno is carried out with respect for tradition, using artisanal methods and meticulous attention to every step of the process. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts to preserve the authenticity of the terroir. Aging occurs in oak barrels of varying sizes for an extended period, allowing the wine to refine and develop its aromatic complexity. domaine favours a non-interventionist approach, limiting the use of oenological products and promoting the natural expression of the wine.
