    Producer

These lands, blessed with ideal orientation, altitude, and soil, produce Giodo Brunello di Montalcino and La Quinta IGT Toscana, wines that express the quintessence of Sangiovese thanks to a rigorous selection of eight specific clones. Ferrini's philosophy of balance and elegance is based on conscientious and sustainable agricultural management.

    Owner and history

Giodo, under the direction of Carlo Ferrini, a renowned consulting oenologist turned passionate winemaker, embodies excellence in the art of winemaking in Montalcino. Since acquiring his first hectare in 2002, Mr. Ferrini has established a domaine six hectares, dedicated to the Sangiovese grape variety, in a privileged location between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Sant'Antimo. With the support of his daughter Bianca and Riccardo Ferrari, Giodo's family business perpetuates the passion for wine, promising a unique experience through vintages that reflect the heart of Tuscany.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for the 2021 Brunello di Montalcino at Podere Giodo is meticulous. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and sorted to retain only the finest. After gentle destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature control. Aging is carried out in oak barrels, where the wine develops its complexity and character. This winemaking process, combined with meticulous attention to detail at every stage, guarantees the authentic expression of the Montalcino terroir, resulting in a Brunello of great depth.
