The Château Lafleur vineyard stretches across clay-gravel soils, typical of the Pomerol appellation, which promote optimal drainage and allow for harmonious ripening of the grapes. The vines, averaging over 40 years old, are cultivated with care to fully express their potential. The oceanic climate, with its maritime influences, contributes to early harvests, preserving the acidity and freshness of the grapes. Each carefully selected grape variety flourishes here in an ideal environment, reflecting the richness of the Bordeaux terroir.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Lafleur is run by the de Vassal family, who perpetuate a tradition of excellence. With an environmentally conscious approach and meticulous attention to detail, the owners are committed to producing authentic and refined wines. They prioritize sustainable viticulture, allowing each vintage to tell the story of its terroir. Their passion for wine is evident in every bottle, making each tasting a unique experience.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lafleur is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, allowing for precise temperature management. The wine is then aged for 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart complexity and roundness. Each step is carefully considered to enhance the expression of the terroir, allowing the wine to develop in perfect harmony.
