The Clos des Lambrays vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soils, typical of the Côte de Nuits. The vines, some several decades old, benefit from an ideal microclimate, with a south-southeast exposure that promotes optimal grape ripening. The terroir's biodiversity, enriched by respectful practices, allows for the production of exceptionally high-quality grapes. As a monopole, Clos des Lambrays is a true gem where each plot contributes to creating a wine of great finesse and unique aromatic complexity.

    Owner and history

Today, Domaine des Lambrays is managed by a passionate team under the aegis of the LVMH group, which has successfully combined tradition and modernity. The current owners are committed to respecting the estate's heritage while continuously improving its winemaking practices. They are dedicated to promoting biodiversity and sustainability, thus ensuring the future of this exceptional vineyard. Their efforts result in wines that reflect the history and unique terroir of Clos des Lambrays.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine des Lambrays is a meticulous process that begins with hand-harvesting the grapes, ensuring their integrity. After rigorous sorting, the grapes are destemmed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks, promoting the pure expression of the terroir. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months. This care in winemaking reveals the richness and complexity of the Pinot Noir, while preserving the authenticity of Clos des Lambrays.
