Tasting notes

Its robe displays a delicate and luminous salmon-pink hue. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of fresh red fruits, subtle floral notes, and delicate citrus nuances. On the palate, the attack is lively and fresh, followed by a silky texture and a lovely vinosity. The finish is long and persistent, marked by a pleasant freshness and an elegant minerality.

All the audacity of the Barons de Rothschild style, the exceptional alliance of Chardonnay and a touch of red wine. True to the House's signature Chardonnay, the original creation of this cuvée is above all that of a great “Blanc de Blancs Pink".

Owner and history

Vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellence have guided the Rothschild family since the birth of its founder, Mayer Amschel Rothschild, in 1744. With expertise in crafting fine wines since 1853, the various branches of the family are today the guarantors of some of the world's most renowned estates, such as Château Mouton Rothschild Or Château Lafite Rothschild.

Vinification and aging

94% Chardonnay - 6% Pinot Noir red wine
100% Grands and Premiers Crus, mainly from Avize and Oger.
Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for Chardonnay; Verzenay, Vertus for Pinot Noir
40% reserve wines, the majority of which are kept in perpetual reserve.
Exclusive use of la cuvée (first press)
Alcoholic fermentation in small, temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks of 25 to 60 HL, malolactic fermentation
Aged on fine lees for 6 to 7 months. Red winemaking of Pinot Noir produced in-house in a dedicated winery. Dosage: low, 6 g/L
Aged on lees: a minimum of 2.5 years to preserve its freshness
Rest period after disgorging: between 3 and 6 months minimum
