Producer

The Dehours vineyard stretches across the slopes of the Marne Valley, benefiting from exceptional terroir. The soils are primarily composed of clay, limestone, and flint, giving the wines remarkable minerality and complexity. climat The climate is oceanic, with continental influences, resulting in hot summers and cold winters. This unique combination of factors contributes to the quality and typicity of Dehours champagnes.

Owner and history

Nestled in the heart of the Marne Valley, 15 km from Épernay, the Domaine Dehours & Fils is located entirely on the left bank. The vines flourish on clay and sand soils laid on limestone bedrock. The vineyard extends over 45 plots, mainly planted with Meunier, the signature grape variety of the Marne Valley. In 1999, the first single-vineyard wines were created: Les Genevraux and Brisefer, symbols of a strong commitment to the search for the pure expression of places. Today, the family (Jérôme, Caroline, Laurence) continues to preside over the destinies of the domaine, with the desire to pass it on to the next generation.

Vinification and aging

THE domaine Dehours produces wines from the family vineyard using production methods that respect biodiversity through mechanical soil work and natural grassing between rows.
The wines are aged on their lees and clarification is achieved through natural decantation, without fining or filtration.
Blend of our two steepest and highest Côtes vineyards (altitude 200 m at the top of both plots), one facing South "le Patis de Cerseuil", the other facing North, "Les vignes dans le bois", on clay soils.
This cuvée is vinified in tanks to preserve its freshness and purity. It is presented young with a very low sugar dosage.
Malolactic fermentation is fully completed.
Aged for 18 to 30 months in the bottle.
Dosage: Variable depending on the disgorging. Between 0 and 2g/l
