    Vinification and aging

    Winemaking at domaine Petrus It is an art that blends tradition and innovation. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, giving the wine a unique aromatic complexity. This extended aging method (approximately 18 months) allows the tannins to soften and the oak to integrate perfectly into the wine, while preserving the purity of the fruit.
